Go green with Clara

The day was beautiful like no other, sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing but still something didn’t seem right to Clara. As she walked down the stairs she heard her little brother making a big fuss, her father reading the newspaper and her mother cooking and shouting at her little brother. Yes, it was a typical Sunday but still Clara felt as if something was wrong. And you can bet something did go wrong indeed.

As Clara went to her private garden, where she liked to go when she was stressed, but, when she got there she was devastated. All her plants were dead and there was something shimmering where they once stood. She was puzzled why all of her plants were dead, she thought of all the possibilities. But nothing seemed to be the right answer, assuming that it was her own fault she left the scene and went to her room and she started to read a book but in the middle she fell asleep.

When she woke up, she was shocked! Her whole room had changed, there was a pink colored wall and stylish furniture and her closet was full of the best and most beautiful set of clothes and dresses she had ever seen but there was also a ring that she had never seen. She immediately put it on with a new pair of clothes and suddenly she felt like she could conquer the world. Clara suddenly felt the energy to fix things, she ran to the community help office and found out from the caretaker that this has been happening all around the community and people have been rushing in all day to get tools to fix broken things. He also told her that all the trees and bushes were withering away and nobody knew why?

Clara then went to the scene of the crime; she first went to Mrs. Mona’s house there she questioned her about her plants but Mrs. Mona had no clue. She enquired other families in the neighborhood but nobody gave her any useful information. Finally she went home disappointed in herself for not finding an answer.

In devastation she went to her garden but the minute she started digging them up she heard a cry, but there was nobody nearby. Suddenly she realized that it was the plant that was talking to her; she was shocked by this strange phenomenon! But she pulled herself together and faced the plant and she asked how it could talk? The plant told her that it was the ring she was wearing is the reason. The plant also told her that it was a magical ring and she had the power to talk to nature. Clara at first did not believe but trusted the plant; she asked why they were dying? The plants told her that there was an evil witch named Mayavi who was planning to attack the city. They told Clara that they had once defeated her so she took them by surprise and took her revenge by putting poison in them. Clara asked how she could cure them but they said the only way to cure them was for the witch to lose her powers, the only way for the witch to lose her powers was that she had to be defeated but Clara did not know how to defeat the witch. Then, they gave her a hint that she should plant more trees protect the nature because pure oxygen and sunlight takes away witch’s powers as she was born of the planets who were far away and did not have oxygen and sunlight. Clara said her goodbyes and left the scene thinking of what the plant had told her.

She slept on it and could not concentrate on school, the next day all she could think about was how she could convince people to plant more saplings to save the environment. She did all she could to save the environment but nothing worked, nobody listened. Finally, at the end of school day she was determined & set out to succeed in her mission. The next day she noticed that the sky was dark and gloomy and she knew that it meant that the witch was coming she tried her best and convinced many people, soon she had an entire army of people on her side and together they convinced others and soon when the battle came they won they had found the solution and learnt their lesson.

Clara learnt to use her power and anyone who didn’t learn their lesson she would set them straight, and they all lived happily ever after protecting their environment by planting more trees and they are now called clean green community. So, if you hear a person whispering in your ear and making you feel weird you know it is super Clara. 

Wonderful world of books

We are living in a planet of “wonderful world of books” because books can take you anywhere to the moon, stars, America, India and the most unimaginable places. The minute you take a book, you will find yourself sinking in deep with the story and characters. You will not know what is happening around you but only what is happening in your book. Books are your best friends if you are there’s, if you treat it carefully it will only be the best for you. If you don’t, you are in loss.

If you don’t like books, then, you don’t know what you are missing. It is more like you are falling in a deep hole but if you love books you are in luck, you will experience the joy for a life time.

We who love books just take the books for granted but many book lovers don’t even realize the hardship of an author. Some famous book authors are Enid Blyton, Jane Austin, Ruskin Bond, R.L Stine, J.K Rowling etc. Many of us don’t even realize how much pain they go through to read, write, rewrite, find a publisher and most importantly listen to people who criticise him/her. That is why it is important to know what they go through and to try not to criticise them. Many authors are inspired by the simplest things such as J.K Rowling first thought about king cross station when she was in a railway station near king cross lane. (From the harry potter books) 

There are many children who wish to become an author but it is not a very easy job. You should have creativity, interest, comedy, knowledge and to make your readers curious about what happens next in page, chapter or next book, then only you can be a successful author. Reading books not only gives creative ideas but knowledge too. It helps in learning grammar, spelling etc. Books can take us to many places, so try and try again, until you succeed in your dream. So, in short, we should cultivate the habit of reading. Until you try it, you will not know the joy of reading. So remember, you have to go to the book because the book cannot come to you. The Great Martians Attack

THE GREAT  MARTIANS  ATTACK

CHAPTER – 1

Today is 23/12/2016. I am in Chicago, where a terrible blizzard is going on and it is 6:00 am and I am outside in the cold for about 15 minutes but it feels like a year or 10 years. But I have to be strong no matter what happens as I have to reach the airport by 8:30 am as my plane leaves at 10:00 am to India. My boss Jayson Rob was supposed to pick me up by now but he is caught in the storm and is now running late. 

But suddenly, I saw bright red lights and loud noises for a minute, I thought it was my boss waiting for me. Loud noise and my boss..Oh how silly of me! I forgot to tell you my name. Oh.. who cares, by the way I am Mark Clark, the famous news reporter from CNBC news channel. I am one  out of 40 reporters from CNBC news channel & I am going to interview PM Narendra Modi on a very important issue between USA and India. I know what you are thinking about what an honor it is to meet him. Right, Aha, I was just teasing you don’t take it to your heart. Anyway I am just a little nervous that I won’t do well then USA and India might battle and become sworn enemies because of me.That would be a disaster and I would be fired from my job and worst of all I would have let USA down.

And there I am again worrying what would happen. But I was never under so much pressure. Achoo achoo. take a deep breaths Mark I said to myself finally I pulled myself together. But then, I realized I was not alone, started running as far as my scared legs could take me but it caught me & I was sucked up before I could scream for help or react and I fainted in shock.When I woke up I thought it was all a bad dream but in a few minutes, I realized that this was not my bed, not my room, not my house and definitely not my wife and children, all I saw was a human being with 10 heads, 8 arms and a tentacle as a nose. Then,I realized who they really were they were aliens or as they called themselves Martians.

I was suddenly speechless and I knew that I was shivering with excitement and also I was scared because for once I just could not speak and that means a lot because I am normally very talkative. Suddenly, without a warning the leader caught hold of me and was about to dash me to the ground but before they could I shouted stop! Please stop, I begged. They let go of me and asked who are you? and why are you here so early in the morning? Their breath smelled horrible and I said I am Mark Clark number-1 reporter from CNBC news and I was waiting for my boss Jayson Rob to pick me up. They all laughed and then the ring leader told this is a nice excuse. Agent double x, what’s next you’ll say that you need to pick up your granny. Ha Ha Ha that’s not funny. Well, it is funny you’re just trying to protect and hide your secret identity of working for Whoop. Whoop! What in the world is that? Stop the acting Agent Double x. I am not acting you buffoon and untie me right now you have got the wrong person so let me go. Oh you are not going anywhere and if you don’t believe me you can ask your father.

My father? he died a year back no he didn’t he was kidnapped by me he too was a secret agent you know he kept it a secret all his life. No way, dad always told me all his secrets when I was a kid. Ha ha ha.. you were such a fool to believe him. I was not and anyway what did my father ever do to you a lot of things but that is for me to know and you to find out .Ha ha ha now enough chit chat through him into the dungeons with his father mu ha ha ha. And so, I was forced into the dungeons. There I saw an old but healthy and strong man. In seconds I realized that it was my father and hugged him but my father did not recognize me and pushed me away but I said dad don’t you recognize me? Yay you look a lot like my beloved son Mark Clark. Well, It's me. No way. How could you ever doubt me? Well who won’t? These Martians as they call themselves can change into anything I can’t be duped by you I am tired of that. Well, how do I prove to you that I am who I am and nobody else? Um.. I know and I found myself singing a song that my father used to sing to me when I was little and then suddenly I found myself In a large bear hug and my father said Mark.. Mark.. is that really you? after all this time I missed you a lot. So did me and mother. We thought you were dead. Well, I am not, so we are back together again. So now all we have to do is escape, but how do we escape?

What! You were not sent here to rescue me? No way, I came here by accident and you mean Agent Jason Robb didn’t train you? What are you talking about and how did you know my new boss? And please tell me truthfully this time were you a spy all this time. Yes, I was supposed to tell you only when you were older as I was hoping you would understand and try to be a super spy yourself. Well, I don’t know if it means you’ll retire. May be, but it sounds very dangerous like just look at the mess it brought us into. I know and I am sorry but I will not retire and being a spy has its bad parts too, you know. Just like, I used to tell you everything has its good parts and bad parts. Well fine but now what do we do? I am not trained to be a spy and I do not have what you call “gadgets”. Mmmmmm.. I know I’ll call for help with my phone. Sorry kiddo. there is no telephone cables on mars. Mars! Oh didn’t I tell you we are on the planet mars?  Mmmmmm I have another idea. My progress report cam is our ticket to communication. What’s that? It is a gadget that I used in my job to contact my boss Jayson Robb. It will work whenever and wherever I am. Cool yo! I know boss makes the best gadgets it’s really high-tech as I always tell him he really should become an inventor. I know he was my spy partner he is smart, intelligent and very funny. You are so right. Now start that what you call progress cam let’s get this show on the road. Ha ha all right tring tring tring tring he’s not answering.. I can’t believe this as he always answers.

Forget it kiddo, we have to get out of here and I’m sick of this silly place. By the way, how long have you been on this planet? Oh, not very long they just transferred me here a few weeks ago otherwise I would have escaped by now. Then, where were you all this time? Oh, travelling from one area to another and it’s like they are passing me along to one another so they are not suspected. So, I have been on earth all this time in torcher. I was their servant. Really, it was a nightmare but the most scary thing of all was leaving you and mom. Speaking about mom she must be worrying sick about us. You mean you. Me! You all thought I was dead remember? I’m not living with you anymore. OH yeah you’re so right. So what do we do now? What is it? Well your mom also works for WOOPH she too is a WOOPH spy.
